Poetry on the Buses

"This book comes from a year spent riding Nottingham's buses, pen, notebook and map in hand, talking to people, getting lost almost everywhere and retreating to my shed to write poems. I wanted to make a picture of Nottingham, it's where I was born, where I live, and I thought I already knew it well. I was wrong and this book reflects a few of the things I've learnt."

This DL (220x110mm) size 72 page perfect bound book has a cover litho printed in four colour process both sides. The inside is printed in black with two poems reversed out of half tone prints of two landscape paintings of Nottingham. The cover reproduces two city paintings in colour. These are all by Nottingham painter Nick Hedderly. We were delighted to be able to feature the work of both these artists in our 2006 calendar, which is featured elsewhere on this site.
